Why are MIDI devices suddenly disappearing Windows (MIDI 2.0 with latest Windows update)

The latest Windows OS update in the beginning of 2026 has introduced MIDI 2.o and there are several reported issues with MIDI devices disappearing. This is not limited to KLANG:app at all. Details and some troubleshooting steps can be found here.
