KLANG:app — Compatibility Overview
In this blog article we’d like to give you a quick overview about how different remote control devices are compatible and work with KLANG:app. We want to make sure that you can use a wide variety of devices to control your KLANG:app, such as e.g. Apple iPad & iPhone, Android tablets and smartphones or computers running either Mac OS X or Windows operating systems. Click the links below to get some detailed information about the use of different control devices.
Apple iOS
KLANG:app runs smoothly on iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad4, iPad mini, iPad pro, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone SE, iPhone 7.
Requirements: iOS version 7.0 or higher.
Android
We tested KLANG:app with a few Android tablets and listed the pros and cons of using them below.
Huawei T1 10
The installed firmware version on this device was Android 4.4.4. There were no major issues with this device that would restrict the use in a live situation.
Known issues:
No Gyro, motion sensor for i3D mode testing.
Asus ZenPad 10
The installed firmware version on this device was Android 6.0.
Known issues:
The factory keyboard isn’t working properly with KLANG:app.
Workaround:
⇒ Install another keyboard (e.g. the Google Keyboard) and make it the default keyboard.
Amazon Fire Tablet & Amazon Fire Phone
KLANG:app runs smoothly with the following Fire Tablet and Fire Phones:

Please install KLANG:app via the Amazon App Store.
MacOS
Tested with Mac Book, Mac Book Pro, Mac Book Air 13″, 15″, 17″ and Mac Mini with Mac OS X 10.8 or higher; no problems here.
Windows
Tested on selected laptops and desktop PCs and tablets with Windows 10 or higher.
Known issues:
Touch screens: The “touching and holding” the CONFIG button does not work here; hence, switching to Admin or Musicians mode is not possible. It might work if you are holding the CONFIG button with one finger, add a second finger very quickly and hold until you see the options.
Workaround:
⇒ Install a mouse.
⇒ To turn linked stereo channels around your head, press SHIFT to select only one channel.
